On my birthday, several of my students
took me
out to dinner after class. We had a great time
playing our
ukuleles and dancing hula while we
waited for the 'ono-licious food to
arrive. |

Christmas 2003 at
Oak tree Villa. Some of my students
helped me sing Christmas carols
for the seniors at this retirement community. "You kids are better
than Lawrence Welk." said one of the residents. I took that for a
compliment. |

Squint your
eyes...maybe you'll see yourself in the
crowd. This is after our 2003
Festival of the Cement Ship performance. Joining my students and
band were guest from the Hula School of Santa Cruz and the
Pa Hula Ohana Dancers. |

My students
receive a certificate of accomplishment at the end of each 6-week
course. |

The "masses" as described above. Everyone had a grand time at Burning
Uke. It was 3 intensive days and nights of non-stop uke playing, uke
burning and, more
followed by more uke playing. |

Taking a break from the excitement at Aloha Music Camp
on the Big Island in Puna. It
took me 2 weeks to recover
from the sleep deprivation. It was
worth it! |

"Once in a
Blue Moon" featured a solid line-up of ukuleleists. From left to
right, Doug Johnson,
Ukulele Dick, Michelle Kiba and Peggy Reza. |

All the way
from Tokyo Japan, "Petty Booka" toured the
West coast Dec 2003. I was
very honored to be their

Another proud moment at recital night.

After marching in the world's

marching it backwards) Ukulele Club members take a
break under an old oak tree.
